Qualification

Service Assistant: 10th pass from a recognized board or university , Diploma in Fisheries Technology from a recognized institution with 2 years regular experience in handling or servicing of life raft or life saving appliances and fishing gear or fishing accessories in govt. department or a recognized private company or firm or factory

Netmender: Matriculation or equvalent pass, knowledge of making or mending of fishing gear (fishing nets) based on practical test to be conducted at the time of recruitment

Age Limit

Service Assistant: Not Exceeding 30 years (Relaxable for department candidates up to 40 years)

Netmender: Between 18 and 25 years

Note: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in india( and not the closing date  prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and  and Pangi sub division of chamba District of Hmachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep)

Service assistant: Pay Level -4,
